Rachel was born in Hull, in 1982, making her only one year off turning 30; scary stuff! She has never moved away. She has never actually driven herself out of Yorkshire; "I daren't go that far". In fact she has only just started driving on the M62 motorway after taking 9 attempts to pass her driving test.

Rachel once came second in a competition on the Big Breakfast. Chris Evans read her name out on air for designing the Big Breakfast football strip. "I should have won really" she remarks.

Rachel just likes to be organised and things have to run as smoothly as possible. As well as organisation Rachel just wants everyone to be to be nice to each other and to be happy. Rachel is genuinely one of those people who likes to work and loves dealing with her clients. She enjoys it when everything is delivered on time, and she likes positive feedback.

Jessica is a Hull girl born and bred. She is our new addition to the Client Care team and has proven to be a great asset within the team and clients alike.

In her spare time Jessica is learning to drive and can’t wait to get a Fiat 500. She loves going shopping and dancing the night away with her girly friends on a Saturday night.

Managing Director and self confessed champion of sticking his nose into everything, Chris does his very best to drive the business forward in a way that makes eskimosoup better every day. As a postgraduate in Human Resource Management, Chris knows people are at the very heart of eskimosoup. At the top of his agenda are the team and all of our clients and he does his best to make sure the company supports all the team members and makes the client journey as enjoyable as possible.

Chris claims to have met some of the worlds most famous and influential people including; Bob Hoskins (gave him a dirty look on the red carpet), The Queen (waved at him as she drove past), Keith Chegwin (touched his bread roll), and Tony Blair (press Chris and he will admit it might not have been him).

Karen was born and educated in Cumbria she has now made Yorkshire her home. About 20 years ago she walked into a newspaper office and since then has carved her career in media and marketing. She has worked with many local businesses over the years as well as the public sector and national accounts which have taken her around the UK.

Karen spends most of her weekends camping and walking, but also likes to point out she is a bit of a Judith Chalmers when it comes to travelling.

Her skills include developing and implementing marketing campaigns for a diverse customer base.

Karen is a member of the Institute of Sales, Marketing and Management and is a Common Purpose Graduate.

Phill was born in Hull and bred in Bolton. He constantly drew on the walls as a child and needed more space to express himself so his family kindly up rooted and obliged. He decided early on that he was going to be either a postman or a graphic designer. Phill weighed up the amount of possible paper cut related injuries he may have suffered and made his decision. We know he made the right choice.

Phill can see the creative possibilities in even the most mundane of subject matters and prides himself on making every project the best it can be.

Outside of work he can often be found on the Karaoke microphone doing a mean Ronan Keating impression.

His claim to fame is once being told that he could make a living at it by Joe Cocker. It turned out not to be Joe, but a professional sound alike instead.

Hannah was born in Hull on the 30th of November 1980. From when she received her first set of crayons the creative juices have flowed. This creativity has always come with structure though, Hannah would never...EVER go over the lines. Choosing instead to explore every creative option within the constraints she was given. This is an approach that has ensured Hannah is an expert at pushing the boundaries of web development whilst also delivering accessible and compliant code.

Hannah achieved a first at university and her dissertation project for the "World's only Submarium" ended up with her on the front cover of the local paper.

Hannah also owns her own bowling ball and shoes. She can regularly be seen smashing down the pins for the eskimosoup bowling team.

Shane Cane (middle name is not Wayne), is our Flash and illustrating genius. Self confessing to doodling right through school, his Dad told him to go get a proper job and a proper job he got. As an electrician Shane excelled at electrocuting himself and putting his foot through a number of ceilings. After coming face to face with one too many rats in dingy cellars Shane decided to call it a day and follow his true passion. Since that day Shane has never looked back; winning a number of awards and achieving a distinction in art and design. He is a highly valued member of the team using his skills in illustration and Flash to bring design alive.

Shane has distaste for cheese and chocolate, but has a strong interest in Myleene Klass ever since they touched shoulders.

George was born in Hull at 16:23 on 5th of January 1979. He is the oldest and therefore wisest member of the eskimosoup team.

His first experience of programming was delivering goods with a computer controlled multi-track vehicle (Big Trak) He spent his primary school years being dragged out of classes to fix the two school BBC computers, which was okay as long as it wasn't maths. George continued to be drawn into Maths and Logic based subjects whilst managing to develop his social and teamwork skills through his additional love of sports.

He played football for Yorkshire Schools and also for the same team as future England stars Nick Barmby and Paul Robinson. He stills enjoys all forms of sports and once won an inter schools long jump competition with a broken arm.

He currently heads up the production team using his logical brain and unflappable personality to ensure that all our projects run like clockwork.

Graduating from Cumbria Institute of the Arts in 2005 with a BA Hons degree in Fine Art, Phill soon came back to his Beverley roots, where he currently resides as our internal photographer and all round technical sheriff. His duel role allows him to satisfy both passions for taking photography and helping people out with their technical problems.

Not satisfied with being an all round nice guy and great photographer Phill also travels the lengths and breadths of East Yorkshire entertaining people with his own unique style of one man band. Phill claims to have taught KT Tunstall the looping techniques she used at the Brit awards a few years back and on Jools Holland.

Oh and he surfs.

In 2009 Nick graduated from the University of Hull with a first class masters in computer science, something of a blunder when he originally left his home in the north east to study psychology.

He was immediately recruited by eskimosoup where soon progressed to the role of lead developer and since then has been focusing on delivering high quality websites and searching for the lost city of Atlantis (so far he has conclusively established its not under his desk).

Carl graduated from the University of Leeds back in 2008 with a degree in mathematics. After a brief foray into the world of research mathematics he decided he wanted a real job and so took up a Masters in computer science at the University of Hull. Whilst here he became aware of and later joined the team at eskimosoup bringing his overly enthusiastic knowledge of Linux to the servers whilst working day to day as a Rails developer.

Away from work Carl enjoys cycling and karate, using both as ways of avoiding paying for public transport. On the few days a year when the weather is pleasant enough on weekends he can also be found playing tennis and occasionally when he has enough money is an avid snowboarder.

We are lucky to have Adam here at eskimosoup; he was strongly considering a career in the Army working with IT or in engineering.

Adam is a strong and quiet character who believes he creates his own opportunities, which is great for us as that opportunity led him here. Adam's keen interest is in computing and science - he is putting his interests to great use here as our new Rails developer.

Outside of work he enjoys art, video-gaming, reading, architecture and studying physics.

As a boy growing up in East Hull, John dreamt of running his own adventure theme park. Although Gilbertland has not (yet) materialised, he does get his fix of building big fun stuff by driving some of eskimosoup's more creative projects. He runs the highly successful Hull Comedy Festival as well as driving social marketing projects for the NHS.

As marketing director of a marketing team he really should know his marketing! Luckily for John, he has a Masters in Marketing (ahem... with distinction) and is the second youngest person in the UK to be awarded Chartered Marketer status.

John lists his hobbies as playing football, squash and entertaining his sons Dom and Zac. His skills include developing powerful marketing campaigns, with special interests in social marketing and anything that helps show Hull and the East Riding in a more positive light.

Rich was under the impression he was traveling to the North Pole to deliver Soup to the Eskimo population and to create a souper event incorporating igloos, fish and polar bears. However, he completely misunderstood the proposal and turned up at the offices here at eskimosoup.

He is a seasoned sportsman and has his fingers in a lot of sports pies. His proudest moment was increasing the overall GCSE mark by 5 points in basketball, for every student who was being graded! That specific event triggered a little thought in Rich's head and this is when he knew his true quality; helping others to deliver great things and assisting them in gaining souper results!

He has a mind that wonders far and wide (just to the outskirts of Hull to be exact), which lends nicely to the ability to be souper creative with marketing strategies. He has the skill and knowledge to produce and deliver events, which will enable clients to be put on the map!

Lindsay has always had the ambition and burning desire to become involved in the Marketing world, after completing a Marketing degree at The University of Hull and achieving a 2:1. After a successful work experience stint she made the eskimosoup team sit up and realise they need this souper individual on board full time.

Lindsay looks after local marketing campaigns and delivers messages through a range of communications forms; using the method of cup-and-string, right the way through to present day communication tools such as Facebook.

She is the next Faye White (for all that don’t who this is, she is the Captain of the Women’s England football team) and plays for a local ladies team.

Lindsay is the opitimy of the eskimosoup work ethos and values; enthusiastic, creative and loves wrapping her clients up in cotton wool and really looking after them.

It has been said that Becky is from a unique world far, far away and nobody knows where it is located. In other words, Becky lives in her own little bubble - and we like it!

As we have found, since she started, Becky has a number of hidden talents that come in handy when working at eskimosoup. Along with many other skills, our marketing 'whiz-kid' apprentice has proved a dab hand at proof-reading, video editting, and has even used her creative skills re-designing the layout of our office!

Growing up, Becky never really knew what she wanted to be, all she knew was that she wanted to do something creative. She lists her childhood dream jobs as (be prepared) either: a vet (not so creative, but she had a big love for animals at the time), a wedding planner, an interior or fashion designer, an advertiser, a famous hairdresser or the owner of a major expensive hotel. Now her main ambition is to be the best marketing apprentice eskimosoup could ever wish for, learning every day from some of the best in the industry.
